Congress Moving Towards Lawlessness

In the latest quest to end the Trump presidency, that delusional Left in Congress now have decided that first, they are going to subpoena the IRS to gather 6 years of back taxes, something that is not within their authority to do, they are now threatening the Justice Department to release the whole Mueller findings, without any redactions, so they can determine what should be released to the public or not, something that is a violation of our civil codes.

One has to wonder, where is this going to end. Under every citizens protection under the law, it is illegal for a prosecutor to say they have no crime, or no indication of one, so they are going to go after everything a suspect has until they can find one, yet that is what Congress and the Left is doing to Trump, if I were Trump, at this point, I would slap executive privilege on everything, tell them this has gone on long enough, it is time to stop it.

This whole thing boils down to two of our rights under the constitution, but seems today the Democrats are discarding what they used to fight so vehemently for, our rights under due process.

The Fourth Amendment, no one’s records or belongings may legally be searched or seized without just cause, to say you are suspicious, when it has already been researched, this does not give you the legal authority to continue to dig, the Justice Department, with Mueller investigated Trump for both Obstruction and Collusion, they found nothing, under the current system of law, it is illegal to say you are not satisfied and continue to dig. One only hopes Trump takes this to court and puts an end to this charade.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

One has to wonder, if the GOP had done this to Clinton, the Democrats would have had a fit. No, wait, they did, when the GOP tried to start subpoenaing Fusion GPS, and they had evidence of wrongdoing, it was the Democrats in Congress that fought this to put an end to this, I must ask, where is the GOP? If you are not going to stick up for the president’s, or ours for that matter, civil rights, then maybe we need to start looking at replacing the whole bunch of you.

What drives me crazy is the thought of Congress that they can force people to violate the law. Demanding that the whole findings and all the supporting documents be released is a violation of the law, under US law, releasing information, even to Congress, that is involved in a grand jury is illegal.

The grand jury information must remain secret under the Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6(e), which places restrictions on the disclosure of matters occurring before a grand jury. Congress, while itself not an exception to the rule, can still obtain the documents in select situations for legislative purposes. The public, however, is not privy to this information. The problem with this is that Congress is leakier than a sieve, to expect any evidence shown to them to remain secret is just silliness.

What is more, if the Attorney General, who is working with Mueller to redact parts of the findings that relate to this, gives up this information, he will be guilty of breaking the law and by committing a felony, but this does not matter to them, they have already shown us that they are totally willing to destroy anyone’s life to find whatever they can.

We the people need to let our President know that this has gone on long enough, politicians are elected into office to run this nation, not investigate and go on witch hunts, if they are not able or willing to do this, either step down or risk the American people removing you.
