Liz Cheney, Rhino, Says She Will Never Support Trump, He is Not The GOP Leader

Taking a chapter from another Rhino, Romney, Liz Cheney in an interview informed us that if the GOP nominated Trump for its candidate in 2024, she would not support his run, would actively work against him. One has to wonder why she is still in office?

She is showing an overwhelming unfavorable rating with her own constituents (13%). She has been censored by the GOP of Wyoming multiple times. She has shown she is more concerned about partisan politics than doing what the people voted for her wants. We see the same thing with other rhinos, where their disdain for the will of the people that elected them is evident.

In her latest stunt, Cheney has shown once more her hatred for all things Trump by admitting that he was nominated then she would work to vote for someone else, regardless of who the party nominates:

Cheney, who, alongside nine other GOP lawmakers, voted in favor of impeaching Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, lambasted the former president for the “gravest violation of an oath of office.”

“I’ve been very clear about my views of what happened on Jan. 6, about my views of the president’s culpability,” she told host Neil Cavuto on a segment of Fox News. “I obviously voted to impeach him. I think that it was the gravest violation of an oath of office by any president in American history, and I’m gonna continue to make sure people understand that.”

Cheney was censured in late January by the Republican Party Central Committee in Carbon County, Wyoming, over her impeachment vote. Despite the rebuke by her hometown cohort, her office raised over $1.5 million in the first quarter of 2021, a record for the senior Republican.

Cheney, who is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, said she wasn’t surprised by the fundraising haul because the GOP wants a party based on “ideas” and “substance.”

“You’ve got Republicans who really want to have our party to be a party that’s based on ideas, that’s based on substance,” Cheney told Cavuto. “They want our party to be a party that gives people hope, that lays out an agenda, that looks to the future, that contrasts with what the Democrats are doing in terms of expanding spending, expanding the size of the federal government, raising taxes, appropriating money at levels we’ve never seen before that could have hugely negative economic consequences for the country.”

Cheney repeated her criticism of Trump in early February, saying he no longer has a role as the leader of the Republican Party.

“Chris, we’re the party of Abraham Lincoln. We’re the party of Ronald Reagan,” Cheney told Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace. “We have to really take a hard look at who we are and what we stand for and what we believe in. I think when you look at both his actions leading up to what happened on Jan. 6, the fact that he was impeached in a bipartisan fashion, the fact that he lost the presidency, the fact that we lost the Senate, we have to be in a position where we can say we stand for principle, we stand for [the] ideal.”

It turns out that Liz Cheney does not understand until someone comes forward and replaces Trump; we were the party of Lincoln, the party of Reagan, now the party of Trump. While we look to the past to give guidance, we look to the now for the party’s direction.
